Portfolio of previous Radio work:
My five-minute documentary was based around International woman day, I chose this subject as it was extremely relevant for the time, as I recorded around the week of International women's day. As international women’s day is something I’m very passionate about I was very keen to do my documentary around promoting and celebrating the day, I also felt as though feminism can be thought of an almost taboo subject which I feel is something which could be changed particularly in today’s society.
Picking certain songs for my piece was a process in itself as I wanted to make sure to use relevant but simple songs which audiences would be familiar with. Using songs which audiences are familiar with engages them into the package and means the audience will listen to what information is being said.

During my commercial production for radio module I was asked to create 2 commericals for 3 different campaigns.
1.Greater Manchester fire- The commercial heavily relies on sound effect's, written in a sincere way using the voice of a real Manchester fire man who was extremly real and was from the point of view of someone who has seen it all happen.
2.BCUSU- As the students unipn is an exclusive organisation ran by students I created 2 commercials which were both voiced by students. In doing this I am making the commercial more approachable for students, making the commercial so personal to students allows them to want to get involved.
3.Sunrise senior living- Both these commercials where voiced by a professional actor's which gave it something special. I was able to achieve a sense of realism with both charecters in the commercial by having actors and being able to explain exactly what i wanted.
